Fun in the Sun is fun, laid back, bring the kids, eat way too much food, play games, get wet and learn from some of the best event!
Have you been asked to photograph a customer's home and then they decide they want family portraits also. Keith Branch and Mandy Lundy will show you the best times and ways to accomplish this.
The 2017 Fun in the Sun event will be held at Sequoyah State Park at Fort Gibson Lake. We will headquarter out of the Pavilion in the Seminole Campground.
This is a PPA Continuing Education Event. PPA members will earn a CE Merit for attending.
Saturday: June 10th
The evening starts with family portraits at the home of Tony & Mandy Lundy Corbell followed with Keith Branch demonstrating architectural photography. We will start at the Pavilion in the Seminole campground.
5:00 p.m. - Family portraiture -Matthew Blakeburn
7:00 p.m. to Dusk: Keith Branch- architectural photography
Afterwards: The PPOK campers (affectionately named the Pixels) will be staying at the Seminole campground. We encourage everyone to come hang out at the campground, please bring your own chairs, food/snacks and refreshments. Dwaine and Eldora Horton are staying in Campsite 30.
After dark: There is a full moon, who knows what will be going on!
Sunday, June 11th
8:00- 8:30- Welcome
8:30- 10:00 - Mandy Lundy- outdoor portraits
10:30- Noon: Keith Branch- Photoshop Saturday's setting
12:00 - 1:30 Lunch and Games
Lunch is included with your registration. If you are on a restricted diet, please bring your own food and join us! Water will be provided.
1:30 -3:00 - Mandy Lundy, Matthew Blakeburn and various other's.
3:00 on - Time to head to the Lake!
Afterwards: A pixelation coincides with this PPOK outdoor outing "featuring a campsite concert by the Pixel Pickers. Bring your guitars and mandolin's and join in!
The pre-registration cost is only $49.00 for each individual or $59.00 for a couple or family. You may register on site that morning but individual members will be $59.00 and couples or families will be $69.00.
This is an all day event not only for photographers but also a retreat for the entire family. Arrive on Friday or Saturday and camp out at the state park for a fun weekend.
